Edit: Our replacement Love Seat was delivered today, 4/8/2017, 3 months after the original one broke. We had picked up the original one ourselves, but American Freight delivered the replacement at no charge.

This happened like 6 months ago and just drove by the decrepit building yesterday and it reignited my aggravation.

After talking to the sales rep about sets, deals and layaway, I was told if I layaway the love seat and couch same day I would get the matching reclining chair free ($500 value). Sold on this set I searched for tables and lamps. Once I got to the register to set the layaway up, I was told that i couldn't get the chair free because the deal wasn't for layaway only for cash and carry. Ok willing to pay for the chair I still wanted to continue the layaway and was told by the manager I can't put it on layaway because the set is discontinued and there is no guarantee that it will be there for me when I finish the layaway, when I questions him about layaway he told me that layaway doesn't hold the product it only holds the price so basically if I put it on layaway and Jane Doe comes and wants to buy the set they will give it to her even though I'm supposed to be paying for it and I would be left with no furniture. Completely ass backwards and a misuse of term layaway. Sounds to me like they are ripping people out of money because you aren't able to get a refund if they sell what's supposed to be your set that you're paying for

It worked out though I bought a $100 memory foam mattress from Amazon and I didn't get any complaints from my guests all summer.

The furniture is nice for the price, but it looks like we will have to buy new furniture again elsewhere if we want a matching set.

After 3 months of not being able to honor their warranty, I think they should take the furniture back and refund our money.

Bought a table from here that we were told was already put together , get it home and everything is in a million pieces . We don’t live close at all probably 40 mins away . The guys were very rude and told us they couldn’t take the box , which kind it was 10 feet away from where it had to go, so they made my mom drive around where no one was there to meet us so we had to bring it in ourselves. I could hear the guys just standing there making rude comments about us as we brought it in and went to the desk. Then they said we were suppose to call because they can’t put it together and they couldn’t refund my mom her money . Then they told my mom for 20$ they would maybe put it together. But they refused to refund my mom and said they could maybe do a store credit. Finally one nice gentleman, the only nice one there, told us he would put it together for us. The whole time everyone else was sitting on the couches on their phones or trying to sell my mom more stuff ! Rudest place ever no one should ever go here they are horrible, awful , money hungry people with no respect for anyone. If I could give a zero star I would. We will never go back and do business with them ever again! I advice everyone to do the same thing! STAY AWAY!!!

I didn't even know people still did bait and switch! I called and asked about a cheap mattress which the guy said they had in stock. I asked for his name he gave it to me and said he'd be there till they closed. I rent a truck to go get the mattresses I show up no one knows where this guy is. Maybe they give a fake name on the phone? They don't have the mattresses. They don't know when they'll get more. They have a magical delivery system where things just randomly show up I guess. Then the sales guy walks me over to the other mattress and nicely suggests getting a couple of these which are $200 more each than the ones I called about. Bad business my friends.

We purchased a couch and love seat in December, and the wood frame inside the arm of the love seat broke about week later. We had purchased the additional warranty. We emailed pictures as requested as received their approval to exchange the broken item for a new one, but it was out of stock. We have to call them every few weeks to ask when it will be in, and they always say a couple weeks. Its has been 3 months now of having a broken furniture. They always say they will call us with an update, but we always have to call them.

They used a company called 716 Delivery, who were very professional and friendly. They let us know in the morning when they would be here and called again when they were 20 minutes away. Their service was great.

If you are going to buy here don't waste money on the warranty, it certainly has not helped us. Just pick what you like and take your chances.

Bought couch over the phone prior to my Military move because Jake said "we should be able to move the piece to Syracuse no problem." Turns out it hasnt ever been done because it isnt cost effective for the store. Got it. Was charged 400.00 less initially than the price listed online. I mentioned that the price seemed a bit low, at which point in time I was told that the set was "on sale." A week later I get a call and Turns out there was a "glitch" in the system and despite the fact that I had an email showing the set was paid for, i had a remaining balance of over 400.00. Not including the 10% veteran discount I no longer qualified for even though the original purchase happened on Veterans day. Long story short I ended up driving 5 hours round trip to pick up furniture they could not deliver while paying an additional 350 dollars to deal with disconnected and rude salesmen that generally seemed to hate their jobs. If you had a negative experience here and you're debating a review, do it. People need to know. Take your business elsewhere, I could not be more serious. 2 stars for furniture, zero stars for American Freight, 1 star overall.
